“The Buddha himself wrote nothing, and none of his teaching was written down for at least four hundred years after his death. We, therefore do not know what the Buddha taught, any more than we know what Jesus taught; and today at least four schools, with sub-division in each, proclaim their own view as to what is Buddhism”.

Brother, If you read the article carefully you will find the answer of these questions. Your statement shows that either you couldn't get the gist of the article or you are intentionally creating a mess here.

Anyway, "Printing technology" and "Papers" were not prevalent in India during the Buddhas period.
I have clearly stated it in the article.

The disappearance of original teachings and practices of Buddha are almost complete today, for the Buddhists are sunk in superstitions, idol worship and Hindu religious rituals. Original Buddhism has changed colors completely.

no more pure BUDDHISM .... :(:(

There is NO idol worship in Buddhism, some people have misunderstood the usage of the image of Buddha for meditation, and paying respect(homage) for Buddha's service as idol worshiping.

To illustrate, a soldier saluting to the National flag can not be considered as worshiping to the national flag.

Similarly, a Buddhist saluting to the Buddha statue (during paying respect or homage) can not be considered as worshiping.
