Assalamualaikum dear dilankandy! from where have you read that Quran says earth is flat ?

Here is how the glorious holy Quran says, Allah(swt) created the earth flat.

وَٱلأَرْضَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ دَحَاهَا

and after that He spread out the earth: He made it flat, for it had been created before the heaven, but without having been spread out; (79-30)

This is the 30th verse of the sura 79, and the translation given is from most respected Islamic scholar Tafsir Al-Jalalayn

As per Quran world is spherical like egg. Moreover it does not say sun sets in muddy pound.

Now, is the earth egg shaped either...

One big error in Bible is that it says earth is flat.

Muslims believe that Bible was a previous scriptures sent by Allah(swt)
In the Quran, Allah says Mohammad to believe in the bible.

And if thou (Muhammad) art in doubt concerning that which We reveal unto thee, then question those who read the Scripture (that was) before thee. Verily the Truth from thy Lord hath come unto thee. So be not thou of the waverers. (10-94)

In this Quranic verse Allah tells prophet Mohammad to verify the truth from the previous scriptures.(bible and Thoraoh)

• Bible says earth is flat(what you said)
• Qu'ran says allah(swt) was the one who revealed the bible, and it further ask prophet Mohammad(pbuh) to verify the Quran from the bible.

Thus, that conclude to the point that anyone who don't accept earth is flat is rejecting the Holy Quran.
