Seems to be you have downloaded Koffice source. I can see configure script ans install script.
If you need to install binaries, it is better to download via package manage.
If you familiar with source compiling, you can proceed with downloaded source.

those are source files. you'll have to compile and install them.

If you want to install applications on kubuntu, use the package manager.
Koffice is in the package manager.

However its better that you install OpenOffice.org instead. Thats also in the package manager and it integrates in to KDE as well.

KOffice is for linux desktops that has the KDE desktop environment.
Also the file you got there are for linux systems.

You can install then if you download from link. Those for binaries for widows. However even if you installed kubuntu, you have compile this source you downloaded.

whats this fascination with Koffice ?
While it integrates well with KDE, its not much use as it isnt very good at opening MS Office files format or saving to MS Office file formats.
