LongBobo Wrote: I dont mean to be a smart-ass, but who are these guys and will they be any good? I cant tell you a person on the roster and have no idea whether Tom Crean can coach without Dwayne Wade on the floor. I think I could coach a college team with Wade on it and win 25 games.Purdue fans need the Hoosiers to rock it so the Boilers take enjoy beating their asses, instead of feeling pity for how far the program has fallen.Bobo,Eventually, IU will be good. Obviously not this year and most likely not next year either probably.500 or so. IU was caught cheating and they paid a stiff price for it and they should have. They hired a coach who was on probation for cheating so dont be surprised when he cheats again. Coach Crean had to come in and change the culture because Coach Sampsons players did not view playing at the Div. I level in a premier conference as a privilege not to mention at a B-Ball School. He had to rid the program of that sense of entitlement prior players apparently had so he cleaned house. Because of the late start CC had last year with recruiting, he was looking for the best available warm bodies to fill out the roster since he only had to two returning players who were little used walk-ons so last year is a wash. This year, his recruiting class was most likely overrated because there are no players in the program who have "been there" and say what you want, that makes a big difference goes to senior leadership, or lack thereof. These guys will have to figure it out as they go. Eventually, the rivalry will be just that but not for awhile. This is not an excuse. However, it is a fact of life that when you bring in a known cheater, you have to pay the piper and that is what is happening in Bloomington so enjoy the dominance while it lasts probably at least another year. I have to believe IU will turn it around when Tom Izzo says he Coach Crean will get it done Coach Izzo did not have to say anything. Coach Crean has chosen not to take short cuts because he is doing it the right way in rebuilding the program so he has been laying the foundation. The team and coaches dont deserve the punishment but the University does and they got exactly what they asked for. Regards, IndyBubba Sorry it was long fast cash advance loans | bad credit loans

Now, for any person to follow Buddhism he should first have the desire to follow the Four Noble Truths and the Eight Fold Path. The Third great Noble Truth says that desire should be removed. Once you remove desire, how can we follow the Fourth Noble truth i.e. follow the Eight Fold Path unless we have a desire to follow the Eight Fold Path. In short desire can only be removed by having a desire to follow the Eight Fold Path. If you do not follow the Eight Fold Path, desire cannot be removed. It is self contradicting as well as self-defeating to say that desire will only be removed by continuously having a desire.

The author of this post finds it difficult to understand the four noble truths. If you go to a doctor for an illness he will advice you to take medicine. Is it necessary for you to have a desire to take that medicine? You take it because there’s no other way to overcome the sickness. Likewise Lord Buddha had advised us to follow the middle path to get rid of craving. So, we follow the path like taking medicine in the above example to overcome suffering. :)

We have this strong attachment towards ourselves and what we possess. When changes take place the way we do not like we suffer. If you follow the path preached by the Lord Buddha in order to get rid of suffering( like old age, sickness, death, association with unpleasant persons and conditions, separation from beloved ones and pleasant conditions, not getting what one desires, grief, lamentation) you get to develop the mind, so that you can use it like a microscope to see the reality of mind and matter. This will lead to the eradication of craving

As for the concept of God, I found the following,

The Buddha explicitly rejects a creator,[7] denies endorsing any views on creation[8] and states that questions on the origin of the world are worthless.[9][10]
Some gods in Buddhism have the view that they are creators of the world. For example, Baka Brahma. However, Buddha pointed out to them that they do not know the whole extent of the universe (he said they have no knowledge of some of the highest heavens), and further, the spiritual power of the Buddha was greater than the spiritual power of these gods who thought they created the world. One of the Suttasdealing with this subject is the Kevaddha Sutta.
The Buddha said (in DN1 - the Brahmajala Sutta or The Net of Views) that their view of being the creator of the world is a misconception, and that these Brahma-gods actually have a cause which lead their origination (taking birth as a Brahma-god). Buddha even tells how the views concerning 'creator gods' originate in the world - through junior Brahma-gods (with a more limited life-span) who, on their passing away, get reborn as a human, and through practicing meditation are able to remember their previous life as a junior god to a Brahma god. Then, he starts to preach this view of a 'creator god' to others (see DN1 - the Brahmajala Sutta).
