To ban in Sri Lanka.
will be likely to ban in Sri Lanka by the Government. Telecom sources confirmed that popular social networks will be ban in near future. Since it has taken as a threat for younger generation and the national security. Pakistan banned Facebook. and Also Bangladesh Announced that they banned Facebook due to Religion reasons.

its a useless site that.....

1) Distracts students from studies.....(well the whole internet does...but at least we can save the girls their studies....)

2) Not good for security...i heard stories of whole companies being hacked....by JUST using facebook....

3) Facebook is the major spamming site...advertisers use your info on your page to spam you...

4) The whole world hates facebook.....coz of its privacy issues...

5) Facebook is gonna close down very soon anyway....

6) a new site called Dispora is gonna be up soon...fully free.....social interaction site....your page is under your full control.....it will be like linux facebook...

dont joke man.. its never gona happen.. our govt is nt a communist government + banning stutch websites means bad reputation to the country @ a developing stage..
when they banned fb in dubai lots of foreign country's closed down.. due to that they had to un ban it.. this is a free country..

and it want bann coz our mobile networks have signed up for a 10year agreement with them to provide free access..

Lol ? Well im pretty sure it didn't distract me from my studies.!

You've heard stories ? well you sure they are true or not ? and no i have never been spammed by advertisers on Facebook.

I definitely dont think the whole world hates Facebook and they do have options of adjusting the privacy setting the way you want it
And no Facebook is not going to shutdown soon.

I think its a really good site helps me to keep in touch with my friends abroad interact with them in my free time share photos videos and all sort of stuff !

dats a whole load of dumb crap.
each and everybody should know to save themselves and there parents should help them.just cuz SOME of them are mislead won't mean everyone should pay the price for it.

well its true that there are SOME privacy issues BUT if the whole world hates facebook why is it becomming popular day by day?

you can't expect them to be a social service.if your are not ready to pay for it they should find other ways to cover up there expences AND to gain income,.
