when you die your body is rotting till it becomes completely a skeleton but still your mind works cause that's embedded in your soul(commonly known as Astral Body)
it is not a physical thing but consist with small particles.you will go wherever you deserved to go

or return as a Human Being

but born in Animal/Human/Ghost/Hell are realms much more pain than Heaven and Brakma Realms ,cause in Heaven and Brakma there won't be any suffering ,no physical harm to your body/never rotting your body and put it into a disgusting state

we all need to do,just understand the truth of this world and try to get rid from this "Birth-Death Circle" ,then we are free that's what's called reach Nirvana.

you can still believe what I have said even you in Islam cause Buddhism is not a religion but a Philosophy and a guide.
there is only one way reach the Nirvana that's put yourself into one of following status
1) be Arahath
3) be Pratyekabuddha
2) be Buddha
but it's easy to be an Arahath than rest of two.
