An unidentified person tied up a school girl due to sit the Advanced Level examination and left her behind depriving her commence the exam at the scheduled time.
However, the examination hall staff at Girl's High School Kandy had later noticed the child and obtained special permission to complete the exam.
Police were last evening trying to find out as to who was responsible for the act.
The student had claimed that someone had followed her bound her eyes and then tied her to a chair and left her behind in the room saying "we will not allow you to sit the exam".
The student was sitting the exam in the Tamil Medium.
