Like I said any other president would of have done the same thing. As the president he didn't have a choice. You people act like the first thing he did was declare war. Do you think he would have declared war if the LTTE didn't close down mavil aru? Or have you forgotten how hard he tried to get the LTTE to peace talks. You don't under estimate the president you over estimate him. So we are building a harbour that we don't need with a chinese company to pay our gratitude to china? President talked. That's all he did. He talked on stages like he was fighting in the front. Do you want to what your patriotic president did for the soldiers. Ask a soldier that got a house from Ranajayapura. Recently they received a red noice saying that the houses was going to be turned into army quarters. And a family can only stay there for only 4 years. These houses was built with the money from the "Api wenuwen Api" fund. They collected the money saying that it will go into making permanent houses for soldiers. What right does he have to turn houses that was entirely built from peoples money into government quarters? We gave the money to build houses, not quarters.
So the main task is talking, not fighting.
So mahinda is good as a politician? That's why he's changing the constitution so he can run for president again I guess. After he pledged he would remove the executive presidency in the election. So what your saying is we don't need to try something new. We must keep going with the old system. I think the problem with sri lanka is the people are afraid to change, they want to stick to the system they're used to no matter what.
Like I said I agree with you. Didn't you read the whole post. I said what would happen in sri lanka.I didn't say everybody that got their degree from a private uni was a fool . As long as they demand qualifications similar or a bit less than the government universities it's ok. But the problem is, will that happen in sri lanka.
