My New Dell R510 Servers, What do you think?

මම දින කීපයක‍ට පෙර Dell Poweredge R510 Severs 5 ක් ගත්ත. එම severs වල picks ටිකක් share කරගන්න හිතුව
One Server has: Dual Quad Core Xeon E5620 @ 2.40GHz (8 physical core, 16 Virtual cores with HT) / 12 MB Cache

Other 4 servers have: Dual Quad Core Xeon E5540 @ 2.53GHz (8 physical core, 16 Virtual cores with HT) / 8 MB Cache

පිටිතින් පෙනෙන අයුරැ(This one has single PSU, 8GB RAM, No SAS Drives, Others 4 serves have SAS 146GB, Dual PSU, 64GB RAM)

Last time SLT quote me 20,000 LKR for 2Mbps

US is the best option. I'll consider Hong Kong as well.

SG and Japan are bit expencive.

Now I pay US$300/Gbps.

Where is your user base located on? Most SL people got iOS devices and good bandwidth to view video streams. So why are you said you asked for bandwidth price quote from SLT?

I can't agree with you. Last week I've done a test with SL (PC)users. a few of them able to watch 720p most of them had crappy internet connections. I'm willing to do a test with iOS devices, very soon

Dont go for hongkong if you want to stream videos to SL. I agree that SLT got peering to HK telecom but better try Worldstream Data center in Netherlands or Telehouse London. They got best connections to SL from data-centers that I experienced!

Telehouse more expencive , Worldstream doesn't provide Colo & Leasedweb refused me(Excessive Bandwidth Usage) I've a couple of rack space at Swiftway NL peering with HE.net(for VoIP traffic 100%).I pay $1200/Gbps without any commitment. With a 10Gb/s comitment $800/Gbps possible. No any good reason for 10Gig
That is why I want to try HK (iAdvantage DC)

Do you have any experiences with Equinix in Germany?

Could you please do tracerout to 194.126.175.130 (Swiftway) If you are located in SL.
