they are not a crappy team.. i too agree...but we were better....sanga was under orders to give it away...
he applied no pressure in the middle..no close in fielders were placed...singles were taken easily...
dropped a catch, missed a stumping chance, missed a runout....
come on man.....
this was done under orders...no bookmaker was invloved...only the higher ranking ppl in both governments as i guess...

let me add another factor to this...

u remember arjuna was the president of SLC right? b4 nishantha.....
do u know y he was sacked....

Arjuna was aginast our players geting into ipl right...he tried to go against it...he intentionally added a tour to england to be sheduled in 2009 May during when ipl is gonna be played..both players and BCCI protested then Gamini Lokuge sacked arjuna from his post..cos lalith modi said "no funds will be given to a cricket board where arjuna is president"...after sacking arjuna SLC was given loans from BCCI and India tours...thats how we ended up playing 30 odd ODI s with india during last 2 years...these are true facts machan..i'm not making these up...u can google and see for ur self if u dont believe me...


u see as india a huge cricketing nation tours u , u get high profits...massive tv rights and all...

and when u tours india u het hige amount of attention...as we all know..

an agreemant was signed machan saying all this...it was in the papers tose days...


so m point is this ...SL government sacked their SLC president cos india said sooo...they threatned not to give money...


and after 3 tournaments of ipl india grew more stronger...
