so why do you hate it? don't you think they are doing it for a reason and smoking matters to them in a way? you seem to love this person but you can't accept him for what he is and understand this one need of him? I think this is very selfish of you.

you want him to stop cos that will make you happy, but on the other hand it will make him very unhappy. If health and wealth is what you live for, I don't even think you love him

being unable to understand a fellow person, only concerned about somebody you love which in turns, is only to make yourself happy again, if you really loved him, you would sadly sit behind looking at him happily smoke..you can't draw lines between happiness...being unhealthy cos of smoking may be a disaster to you, but to him, it may be a happiness...that's where you have failed to understand him...different people have different meanings to words.
