    There are six more lines planned to go PPP model. This had funds and this is for sure corruption as JICA always gives the transparency. JICA loan had 15 year grace period and 0.1% interest. Only rolling stock Wass limited to Japanese firms apart from consultancy. This is a half truth statement...

    What Sri Lanka has spend 1. feasibility study 2. High level design and planning 3. Detailed design and tender document preparation All these are consultancy and they have removed the content from the site of CLR.

    Why Sri Lankan Operators look for additional revenue through value added service is they are not making money with Data. Their investments are very high and making losses from Data which are subsidised by Voice. But now Voice is moving to OTT. If they are to sustain and upgrade their networks...

    Vanilla base packages and Value added premiums is the trend all over the world mate. Google, Netflix, apple etc share their revenues with Operators to give better QoE in developed countries and others ISP charge additional fee to provide premium quality. Its an economic game and nothing to fuzz.

    They signed the loan agreement. Go to JICA website. Now the tender document is almost complete with detailed design and Who ever the government this is a must go project. Taking The Depot to Athurugiriya will further delay this.
