Probably because it`s cheap entertainment. Most people dont want to put much effort/time/money in to a hobby, it`s far easier to sit in front of a TV and scream and talk shit.. :D :D Nothing wrong with getting entertained and trying to forget your problems, what`s pathetic is putting...

Ade!! I also had a similar Casio with a white dial, but unfortunately it wasn't very water proof. අපි සැලෙනවද පින්වතුනි, නෑ නේ නෑ නේ.. Sealed crown and back plate with 'UHU' glue. Never took it off, used it for swimming lessons and all and used for a couple of years until battery died...

If the function of the watch is exactly the same, for example, only display time via 3 hands, there`s not much difference in the basic mechanism between branded and cheap watches. The movement may look nicer (better finishing, different materials, polished surfaces etc..) in a high end watch...

Lol!  There are Sri Lankan (born, 1st gen, 2nd gen, etc...) entrepreneurs all over the world. I am sure there are multi millionaires in the U.S, U.K, Japan, other parts of Europe, perhaps even New Zealand. Some may have worked very hard, some may have got extremely lucky to get...

That`s awesome! The orange theme goes well with that watch. The green is great too, caged bezel is quite un-common. I had zero knowledge of Russian watches, though I've read about caged bezels somewhere.

This is so true.. Europe is properly F**d! There`s no proper leadership anywhere apart from a bunch of pussies! U.S is at least doing comparatively better since they still have the upper hand in food security, energy, technology, US Dollar strength and a massive internal market/population.

Naah, that ain`t a watch. You mean the 400 dollar 'thing' with a display that you charge everyday... and you pay for subscription services.. and then it all goes in the bin in about 4 years? :D:D

I understand that you like the design of the mechanical Le Locle machan. But Tissot quartz watches are not bad, specially considering that they can be up to half the price of the mechanical movement for the same model/design. Some ideas: Tissot PRX is very popular these days.. Comes in all...

"My opinion is for chronographs it is always good to go high-end or avoid automatics due to high failure rate and high service cost." >> this is exactly right and I agree a 100%. Where I live, a mechanical watch service can easily cost more than a cheap movement (sometimes even a watch)...

@GHost_94 - So I always wanted a 'Panda'. Zenith, Rolex, Omega, Tudor... they all do Panda`s. Even Timex does. There`s so many Daytona homage watches too.. There`s brands like "Stuhrling" and "Pagani Design" with copies so similar I dont know they avoid copyright infringements. The...

Got to try out a friend's Rolex Daytona today. This is a steel version with black dial, he's also got a white gold version with white dial. It's clear why this is such a legendary piece. Perfectly proportioned and the size is also perfect for small and relatively larger wrists alike. Daytonas...

7C46B is a high torque 7 jewel movement specifically made as a Seiko 'diver's calibre'. Operating range: between -10 ºC and +60 ºC. Accuracy: Less than 15 seconds per months when worn in temperature range between 5 ºC and 35 ºC. Or spot on when worn at the wrist! Again, these are impressive...

That's right, I checked at a reputed online dealer which i've bought before. The special edition just became available to purchase. The pointer date is exactly 5k AUD, whereas the limited edition is 4.9k AUD. 😀 They do very good deals sometimes (easily 20 30% off) need to keep an eye out..

@GHost_94 , Check out this limited edition beauty from Oris... I am a sucker for vintage tool/pilot type designs so I really like this. The dial is mostly printed, so does look too basic/simple for a 5k watch. Domed anti-reflective crystal is awesome but, so is the small second sub-dial... I...
