    yup. think that may be the case. the knives they have for sale on their site doesn't have their logo stamped on their knives anymore instead I think they're laser etched or something now btw I think you'd be able to improve that knife by grinding away the excess if you have access to a bench...

    I bought the 5 knife set from them machan. but that set doesn't have the knife that you've posted in your post seems like it has a taper that interferes with the cutting I've been primarily using the chef knife for most of my cutting though it also has a thick spine but it's not a hassle at all...
