The problem is foreigners come so SL because these locations were promoted by others. eg: vlogs and shit. I am not saying reservations shouldn't be there, I am saying you shouldn't just abruptly do this shit without proper planning or alternatives

Agree they should have been given notice first. Probably they were given, who knows. Many years ago I remember they were clearing up in Mirissa area too. Similar exercise.
Whatever the case maybe, the beach reservation should be clearly left alone and illegal dwellings removed.
