Short answer -
There's no cure for HIV yet. But there's ART (AntiRetroviral therapy) or a combination of drugs called HAART (Highly Active AntiRetroviral therapy) that can prevent infection and arrest the staging of the disease.
But on the research table there's Gene editing, Immune modulation & Stem cell transplants. There's what's called a Functional cure like ART (suppressing the virus) and a Sterlising cure (totally remove the HIV virus)

Also recently the NIH launched testing for three HIV vaccines, mRNA based.

But recently those who were treated with stem cell transplants from a donor with a double CCR5-delta-32 mutation, there have been five cured till last August. I have previously written about this mutation on a different post. Please read it. This mutation protects you from HIV.

Note: There's PrEP available. Pre-exposure prophylaxis (or PrEP) is medicine taken to prevent getting HIV. PrEP is highly effective for preventing HIV when taken as prescribed. It reduces the risk of getting HIV from sex by about 99% and getting HIV from injection drug use by at least 74%.

Now the trend is U =U.
That means undetectable = untransmittable.
Now HIV patients with good control do not transmit the virus.
There is a test called HIV viral load done frequently in HIV patients. If HIV virus is undetectable in that test, they are ok.
They even have unprotected sex with others without issue.
But there are some HIV Patients who do not have good control.( Not taking meda as prescribed) Those can transmit.

True... it's "Become Undetectable", "Stay Undetectable" & "Being Undetectable - Live Long".
This was what I implied when I mentioned " Functional cure like ART (suppressing the virus)" though i did not elaborate beyond it.

Viral suppression is defined as having less than 200 copies of HIV per milliliter of blood. HIV medicine can even make the viral load so low that a test can’t detect it. This is called an undetectable viral load.

At least have the Hep B vaccine. About 10 companies are working on a cure using CAM ( Capsid Assembly Modulators). Hopefully one day.

For a start we have access to both Hep A & Hep B vaccines. That offers protection.
Current research shows promising results in using a combination of nucleoside analogues & capsid-directed therapies can cure Hepatitis B. Capsid assembly modulators (CAMs) are compounds that target core protein of HBV and misdirect capsid assembly. This results in suppression of HBV replication and virion production. Nucleoside analogs inhibit viral replication and virion production but not encapsidation. The action of two together is said to be quite effective. Hopefully someone will develop drugs in the future.

NOTE: There's no vaccine against Hep C (HCV). But there's highly effective treatment regimes for Hep C.
