ඇයි මෙහෙම උනේ ?

කිසිම පක්ෂයකට කඩේ යෑමක් නොවන බව කරුණාවෙන් සලකන්න ...
ඇයි අපේ රටට මෙහෙම උනේ ?මචන් මට හිතෙන්නේ අපේ රටේ මිනිස්සුන්ගේ හොඳ වැඩිකම නිසයි අපිට මෙහෙම උනේ. අපේ මිනිස්සුන්ගේ ඕනෑවට වැඩ තියෙන අපේකම , කලගුණ සැලකීම , ගැතිකම .

උදාහරණයක් වශයෙන් අපේ පවුලේ එකෙක්ට ජොබ් එකක් හොයල දෙනවා මොකක් හරි පක්ෂෙක ඇමති/ මන්ත්‍රී කෙනෙක්. ඉතින් අපිට හිතෙනවා අපි මේ කරපු උදව්වට කාලගුණ සලකන්න ඕනේ කියල. ඉතින් එතන ඉඳන් මුළු පවුලම උට තමයි චන්දෙ දෙන්නේ . එතනින් එහාට ඌ කරන වැරදි එකක් වත් පෙන්නේ නෑ . ඌ කරන සියලු වැරදි සදාරනිකරණය කරනවා තමන්ගේ ආත්ම ගරුත්වය පවා බිල්ලට දීලා.
ගමේ එකෙක් චන්දයක් ඉල්ලුවොත් අපි බලන්නේ උට චන්දෙ දෙන්න. "ගමේ එකානේ " කියන එක අපේ හිත වලට එනවා කොච්චර නෑ කිව්වත්. මලගේදරකට අවොත් , අඩුම තරමේ පාරේදී හම්බෙලා හිනා වුනොත් ඇති සමහර මිනිස්සුන්ට.මොන වැරැද්ද කරත් "අපේ එකා " කරන වැරැද්ද සුද්ද කරන ගතියක් තියෙනව අපේ මිනිස්සුන්ගේ.

හිතන්න අපේ ගමට එන පාරක් හදල දුන්නොත් කනුවකට ලයිට් එකක් දාල දුන්නොත් අපේ මිනිස්සුන්ට ඒ ඇති පක්ෂෙකට වහල් වෙන්න . අයි අපි හිතන් නැත්තේ මේවා අපේම සල්ලි වලින් කරන්නේ කියලා.. ? අයි අපි හිතන්නේ නැත්තේ මේවා හදන ඒවා උන්ගේ වගකීම් තමයි කියල..? උන් මේවා කරන්න ඕනේ ඒ තනතුරු වලට ගියානම් . අපි අමුතුවෙන් ඒවාට කලගුණ සලකන්න ඕනේ නෑ මට හිතෙන විදියට. අපි උන්ගෙන් වැඩ ගන්න ඕන පුළුවන් තරම් . ඒ තනතුරු වලට ගියා නම් වැඩ කරපල්ලා පඩියක් දෙන්නේ වරප්‍රසාද ඕනෑවටත් වඩා දෙන්නේ වැඩ කරන්න තමයි නේද ? අනික වැරද්දක් නම් කවුරු කරත් එක වැරද්දම තමයි.සුද්ද කරන්න එපා ඔය එක බල්ලෙක්වත් . මෙන්න මේ තැනට අපේ මිනිස්සුන්ගේ mindset එක කවදා හරි හැදෙන්න ඕනේ. එකට තව කොච්චරක් කල් යයිද කියන එකයි ප්‍රශ්නේ.....

මට හිතෙන විදිය මේක . වැරද්දක් ඇතොත් පෙන්වා දෙන්න.

our mindset was completely different from the one this modern culture deems good. we used to live in a completely different environment and our mindset was programmed to sustain that culture. then the colonials came and changed almost everything. how we live, what we deem good, what should we hope everything. this new culture is was not something that is ours. it was their way of living. only by changing the very foundation of our thinking can we fully adapt to their way of living and therefore naturally our own way of thinking became an obstacle to this modern lifestyle.

therefore yes we are unnecessarily good, selfless, holistic viewing etc. if we were to become a so called successful nation in this consumerist culture we should abandon our mindset altogether and become yet another country of kalu suddo.

not exactly. what's really happening is we are struggling to live according to that standards and continually failing. reckless consumerism was never a part of our mindset. we consumed for the sake of living. what modern culture promotes is consumption for the sake of consumption and that's the fundamental driving force of almost all businesses. this is only one facet of the issue. I don't think we would ever become a real consumer nation without giving up our mindset.

what do you mean go back ? we are having a cast system right now. the only difference is in past social hierarchy was defined by birth while in modern time it's defined by one's job, education, material gain etc. we are having a modern cast system and just like you didn't notice or felt bad about it, so was the situation with them in the past. people learn to live with the facts grown up experiencing. then they feel it's completely normal until someone comes along questioning the foundation of that society. so the conclusion is they couldn't have felt as bad as we think they must have living in that cast system just like we don't feel anything strange or seriously wrong in our cast system.
