Though the Supreme court ordered for the Price controls, the firms in the market did not agree to this. The problem is that the Petroleum is semi-privatised now, and the raw material comes through many retailers, which means we get it with a higher margin paid to such intermediaries.

You cannot expect Sri Lanka's prices to change in equal proportion to the American markets. Those are two completely different economies.
