    Why Oats Are Better:

    1. Heart Health:
      • Oats are renowned for their high soluble fiber content, particularly beta-glucan. Beta-glucan has been extensively studied for its ability to reduce LDL cholesterol (the "bad" cholesterol), thereby lowering the risk of heart disease. Regular consumption of oats can contribute to better heart health by maintaining optimal cholesterol levels.
    2. Digestive Benefits:
      • The soluble fiber in oats helps to form a gel-like substance in the digestive tract, which aids in the smooth movement of food and prevents constipation. This type of fiber also serves as a prebiotic, promoting the growth of healthy gut bacteria and improving overall gut health.
    3. Blood Sugar Control:
      • Oats have a low glycemic index, meaning they are digested and absorbed slowly, leading to a gradual rise in blood sugar levels. This property makes oats an excellent choice for individuals with diabetes or those aiming to manage their blood sugar levels. The slow release of energy from oats helps prevent spikes and crashes in blood sugar.
    4. Weight Management:
      • The high fiber content in oats promotes a feeling of fullness and satiety, which can help reduce overall calorie intake. Eating oats for breakfast, for example, can keep you feeling full for longer, reducing the likelihood of snacking and overeating later in the day. This can be particularly beneficial for weight management and weight loss efforts.
    5. Nutrient Density:
      • Oats are packed with essential vitamins and minerals such as manganese, phosphorus, magnesium, copper, iron, zinc, folate, and several B vitamins (especially B1, B5, and B6). This rich nutrient profile supports various bodily functions, from energy production to immune health.
    6. Antioxidant Properties:
      • Oats contain unique antioxidants called avenanthramides, which possess anti-inflammatory properties and can help lower blood pressure. These antioxidants are not commonly found in other foods and provide an added health benefit that goes beyond basic nutrition.
    7. Versatility and Convenience:
      • Oats are incredibly versatile and can be easily incorporated into various meals. Whether it's a quick breakfast of oatmeal, a snack of oat-based granola bars, or an addition to smoothies and baked goods, oats offer convenience and flexibility in meal planning.

Certainly. I'll elaborate on each point comparing chickpeas to oats:

    1. Higher protein content: Chickpeas contain about 14.5g of protein per 100g, while oats have about 13.2g. This higher protein content makes chickpeas slightly better for muscle building and repair.
    2. More fiber per serving: Chickpeas have about 12.2g of fiber per 100g, compared to oats' 10.6g. Higher fiber content aids digestion and promotes feelings of fullness.
    3. Lower in carbohydrates: Chickpeas have fewer carbs (61g per 100g) compared to oats (66g per 100g), which may be beneficial for those monitoring their carb intake.
    4. Contains more essential amino acids: Chickpeas provide a more complete protein profile, containing all nine essential amino acids in better proportions than oats.
    5. Rich in iron and folate: Chickpeas are a better source of these nutrients. Iron is crucial for oxygen transport in the blood, while folate is important for cell growth and DNA formation.
    6. Better source of healthy fats: Chickpeas contain more healthy unsaturated fats, particularly polyunsaturated fats, which are beneficial for heart health.
    7. More versatile in cooking: Chickpeas can be used in a wide variety of dishes, from hummus to curries, salads to desserts. Oats are more limited, typically used in breakfast dishes or baking.
    8. Gluten-free: Chickpeas are naturally gluten-free, making them suitable for those with celiac disease or gluten sensitivity. Oats are often cross-contaminated with gluten during processing.
    9. Lower glycemic index: Chickpeas have a lower glycemic index (about 28) compared to oats (about 55), meaning they cause a slower, more gradual rise in blood sugar levels.
    10. Creamier texture: When blended, chickpeas provide a creamy texture that's useful in many recipes, from dips to desserts. Oats generally provide a grainier texture.

අඩෝ, tfs. කඩල වල protien වැඩියිනේ බන් :baffled:

If you’re focusing on increasing your fiber intake and prefer a breakfast option, oats might be the better choice. If you’re looking for a protein boost or a versatile ingredient for various dishes, chickpeas could be more beneficial. Both are nutritious and can be part of a balanced diet!

Don't just go by published figures... These are the raw figures. Lentils has the most when cooked.

For Cooked Oats (boiled in hot water/Microwavwd etc) Protein content for 100g of oats is 2.54 g
For cooked Chickpeas (cooked or boiled) protein content for 100g of chickpeas is 8.86 g

For Lentils (Cooked or Boiled) per 100g the protein content is 9.02 g

PS: I don't have time in the mornings to list full details but the full analysis of these can be found in the USDA databases.
