පැතුම් කර්නර් වයස අවුරුදු 40ක තරුණයෙක්. කැළණියේ උපත ලැබූ පැතුම් දරුවෝ තිදෙනෙකුගෙන් සමන්විත පවුලේ බාලයා විය. කැළණිය වෙදමුල්ල විද්යාලයෙන් ප්රාථමික අධ්යාපනය ලබන පැතුම් සාමාන්ය පෙළ විභාගය ඉහලින් සමත් වීමත් සමඟ ජීව විද්යාව අංශයෙන් උසස් පෙළ හැදෑරීම සඳහා කොළඹ නාලන්දා විද්යාලයට ඇතුළත් විය.
2001 වසරේ ජීව විද්යා අංශයෙන් ඉහලම ප්රතිඵලය වාර්තා කරන පැතුම්, 2002 සිට 2008 දක්වා වෛද්ය ශිෂ්යයකු වශයෙන් කොළඹ විශ්වවිද්යාලයේ වෛද්ය පීඨයෙහි තම අධ්යයන කටයුතු සිදුකළේය.
2008 යුද්ධයේ අවසන් අදියරේදී උතුරට වෛද්යවරුන් අවශ්ය වීමත් සමඟ ලුතිනන් වරයෙක් වශයෙන් සේවයට බැඳීමට තීරණය කරන පැතුම්, මානුශීය මෙහෙයුම අවසන් වන තුරුම 58 සේනාංකයේ ඉදිරි ආරක්ෂක වළල්ල අසල පළමු සැරහුම් කුටියේ සේවය කරමින් සිය ගණනක් රණවිරුවන්ට සිය දෑතින් ප්රතිකාර කළේය.
ඊලාම් යුද්ධයේ වෛද්යවරයෙකු ලෙස තමා ලැබූ අත්දැකීම් "යුද බිමක වෙද මහිම" නමින් ග්රන්ථයක් ලෙසින් පසුව ඔහු විසින් එළිදැක්වීය.

විදේශ රටක රෝහලක සේවය කිරීමට වඩා තමන්ගේ මව් රට වෙනුවෙන්, තමන්ගේ රටේ ජනතාවගේ අභිවෘද්ධිය වෙනුවෙන් තමන් දෙයක් කළ යුතුය යන හැඟීම පැතුම්ට තදින්ම දැනෙන්නට විය. එනිසාම ඔහු සිංගප්පූරුවේ සේවය කරන අතරම, මසකට වරක් ලංකාවට පැමිණ තම පෞද්ගලික ධනය සහ දායකයන් ගෙන් ලද පරිත්යාග මුදල් යොදවා නොයෙකුත් සමාජ සත්කාරක වැඩසටහන් ක්රියාත්මක කළේය.

Pathum Kerner is a 40-year-old young man, born in Kelaniya, the youngest of three children. He received his primary education at Vedamulla Vidyalaya, Kelaniya, where he passed the GCE O/L examination with high marks, and entered Nalanda Vidyalaya, Colombo to study Biology for Advanced Level.
Pathum obtained the highest results among his batch for Biology in 2001, and studied Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Colombo from 2002 to 2008.
Soon after completing Medical School, Pathum joined the Army as a lieutenant where doctors were needed during the last phase of the war. He worked in the first dressing room near the front line of the 58th Division and treated hundreds of war heroes with his own hands until the end of the humanitarian operation.
He later published his experiences as a doctor in the Eelam War in a book titled "Yudha Bimaka Veda Mahima".
Pathum felt that he had fulfilled his duty towards the Army once the war ended,
so he left for Singapore in 2010 to work as a doctor at a government hospital there.
Having lived there for many years, Pathum wrote the book "Lessons from the miracle of Singapore" with the intention of passing on Singaporean wisdom to Sri Lankans on how they became one of the world's greatest nations.
He came to Sri Lanka once a month while working in Singapore, and implemented various social service programs using his personal wealth and donations from well-wishers.
In the meantime, Pathum realized that many of the economic, social, environmental and development issues in Sri Lanka need political solutions, for which the Sri Lankan political arena did not provide a conducive environment. The deep frustration he had with the illegitimate public administration and corrupt political system provoked him to enter to politics in 2017, forming an independent party named the National Green Front to find solutions for social, economic, environmental and developmental issues by going against the existing political system.
Principles of the National Green Front screamed for change and new hope, so many young leaders with true patriotism joined the Party along the way. Providing leadership to them, Pathum launched various projects across the country including;
• Planting more than 70,000 plants in different parts of the country following a national green concept.
● Strengthening forest monasteries across Sri Lanka by providing basic necessities and expanding infrastructure.
●Providing PPEs, sanitary equipment, and dry rations worth millions to hospitals and needy communities during peak Covid-19 waves.
• Distributing necesaties for low income pregnant mothers in rural communities
Pathum contested as an independent candidate from Gampaha in the 2020 general election and secured 5,780 votes ranking 6th, surpassing recognized political parties and 20 other independent groups.
Afterwards, he went to England with his family as his wife who is also a doctor received a scholarship for foreign training. During his time in England, Pathum began to study a degree in Public Administration and based on the knowledge he gained, he started to inform the people about the economic crisis that Sri Lanka was facing through social media.
Accordingly, Pathum created the Go Home Gota hashtag on 31.12.2021, followed by thousands of social media activists joining the Go Home Gota social media campaign. Thus began the peaceful struggle against the corrupt politicial system of Sri Lanka.
In April 2022, police officers came to Pathum's house in search of him, however since Pathum was in England at that time, the police arrested the group admin of the Go Home Gota page.
Despite the life threats he was receiving from various parties, Pathum returned to Sri Lanka because of the strong need he had to become an active partner in the peaceful struggle of the people of his motherland. He devoted himself to win the "Struggle of the Heart", to win the innocent people of the country, while educating the public and informing the international community.
