It was proven but neglected by those dreaming of an industrialized nation. Australia has vast resources and vast wealth, but it does not have a large manufacturing sector; it does not have automobile manufacturing. Their economy mainly relies on mining, agriculture, and the service sector. So if they can't, how come we do that? We don't have this many resources or wealth for R and D. So concentrate on what we can do best, so the service sector comes first.
