But today Sri Lanka and Libya have similarities . Debt repayment, currency issues, No electricity, Food shortage, long queues ..... Gadaffi developed this country to a very good level. He funded terrorist movements including LTTE through late Mr Amirthalingam. Gadaffi brought his armed security personnel full of a plane with his bullet proof vehicle when he came for NAM summit in 1976. But Mrs. B did not allow a single security personnel outside airport and they were all send back immediately. His bullet proof vehicle was allowed in and he travelled in that to summit and Gadaffi also departed soon after summit with a long face!
I did not approve what Gadaffi did as much as how he was ousted from regime and treated. So I was not happy about the way he was killed. If I am not mistaken there are still cases pending in ICC and a person with srilankan connection appears for Mr Gadaffi's family in that action.
