මට මානසික ලෙඩක් හැදුනා ඒ ලෙවල් පලවෙනි වතාවට ලිව්වට් පස්සේ .මට දෙවෙනි වතාව ලියන්න ඕන කම තිබුනත් බෙහෙත් එක්ක කිසි පාඩම් වැඩක් හරි හැටි කර ගන්න බැරි උණා..දැන් ගෙදරින් බර බරේ උසස් පෙළ දැනට ලැබුණු විශ්වවිද්‍යාලයට යන්න කියල.අහන අහන හැම කෙනාම කියන්නේ ලැබුණ එකට යන්න කියල
මට ලැබුනේ APPLIED SCIENCES (PHYSICAL SCIENCE)-WAYAMBA UNIVERSITY මොනවද මේකෙන් කරන්න ලැබෙන job මොන වගේද කියන්න පුළුවන්ද?

Management trainee on reputable companies ( ex Brandix )
SLAS, Customs
CB


Simply any job which required a BSc

Go. Don't think twice. Be aware of raggers btw.

Academic Pathway --> Maintain 3.3+ GPA --> Do a 4 year Special Degree in Chemistry of Physics --> Apply for PhD after graduation. You will get full scholarships if you performed well on the research. (complete the research at least with 1 journal article.)

Industrial Pathway ---> Select Computer Science/IT --> Software Engineer/Developer
Physics/Maths --> Executive-> Asistant Manager --> Manager in production firms. (Target MAS, Hidarmani or Brandix)

I also went through such a situation. I was selected for physical science in Periadeniya. But my mind said I can do more than that. So I took another chance with risk. I only had about 5months. During that 5month I able to get a good result with district rank. If you feel you deserve more. Do It, bro.

This is Sri Lankan mentality. I am happy and fun with the path I choose. Good to do a Phd. But If do a Phd I will do it for my own satisfaction not expecting high paid salaries and social state.

U mean doing a Phd is sri lankan mentality ? I dont think so, most try to become a doctor / engineer and get paid and stabilize than leaning and researching more to cater the world with innovation.

It's typical SL mentality to think that people do Phd for high salaries and status, while thinking of being a doc or eng and repeating SSED.

This is great advice. Bumping this because it'll be useful for others who are in a similar situation. Don't delay the graduation time further by redoing A/L. SL education system takes too much time to produce graduates in the normal path anyway. When we go for PhDs etc., we see that the students from other countries are very young compared to us. So finish everything soon as possible. Good luck!

True. Most of the Sri Lankans don't even know what is a PhD. Everyone wants to be a doctor, engineer, IT person or manager.
