NYT claims those facts were obtained by the FCID; which begs the question why the FCID is sitting on this gold mine of information and do nothing about it. All they do is getting foreign media outlets to publish articles about the investigation

If they have the "facts" like you claim they should've taken action against MR by now. Why don't they? MR HAS to answer instead of being silent if the FCID take action based on all these "facts they got", right?

Instead of doing that, why try to create an illusion of "valid facts" to prove their allegations to the general public based on MR not doing anything against the media outlet which published an article based on those "valid facts" provided to them by the FCID?

these power struggle is going on forever. what can we do about this?
the country is going downhill and downhill only from times wich the bloody suddaas left us.
specialy in the recent past. i haven't researched enough to throw up and opinion about older presidents such as JR and preamadasa and so on. but I've lived long enough to understand what leaders in recent past (for last two decades or so) did and what has happened to this country. different eras can be compared this one is relatively better and that one is worse and so on. but the bottom line is non of those rulers didn't have any sort of long term planing to develop the country.(not to my knowledge) what I've seen all they did was planning for the elections and finding a way to stay in power.
