No.. Dengue is only carried by the females of two species of mosquito: the Dengue mosquito (Aedes aegypti) and the Asian Tiger mosquito (Aedes albopictus)
The same mosquitoes are responsible in carrying Yellow Fever, Zika, Chikungunya as well.

Even a mosquito has it's own immune system and not all of them can carry a particular virus.

When an Aedes type mosquito bites an infected person, the virus spreads through the mosquito's body over a period of eight to twelve days. After this period, the infected mosquito can transmit the dengue virus to another person while feeding.
This process continues with the next victim it bites.
Once infected with dengue, the mosquito will remain infected with the virus for its entire life - possibly about a month.

PS: That's why we should protect the dengue patient. If he can be effectively isolated (from the mosquitos) then that puts a brake on the transmission chain.
It will work much better than trying to eradicate the mosquitoes completely.

අප්පෝ වැස්සා නෙද. දැන් ඩෙන්ගු තියනවාද. 2017 දී wife ට හැදුනා. ගිය අවුරුද්දේ පුන්චි අම්මාට හැදුනා.
