I always use the rsync or its variants due to my own circumstances.
However, GoodSync isn't totally free. I believe its personal use has limitations.

Another very good Open Source alternative is FreeFileSync
https://freefilesync.org/

Fully Open Source - no limitations - supports all OS environments (Win/MacOS/Linux), supports Google drives. FTP/FTPS, can copy locked files etc.
