USD appreciated this week. So all currencies depreciated a bit compared to the USD.

We will feel the real impact when import restrictions are removed.

This is why the government is trying to increase USD influx by tourism what not, before these restrictions are removed.

Gov/CB did two put lot of import restrictions and sold big portion of Sri Lankan's gold reserve in order to stabilize the LKR. But now they need foreign influx coming in if they are to keep it stable anymore.

    Non of your business
Nope, bro, you can control it with foreign reserves.

how can you generate foreign reverses

Supply - Export income, Direct Remittances and other inward of money

Surplus of Supply. one can argue you can strong the exchange rate from borrowings (loans), YES you can but its short term. as you need to pay back not only the capital but also with the interest. So it's not correct. If you can remember we got some grants (non payable) from foreign governments during tsunami. at that time the Rupee came stronger. but you cant see it for long as we are not producing (goods and services) targeting exports when compared to our imports !!
