Knights on wheels "Knights on Wheels" is a motor parade organized by Thurstan College, Colombo to commemorate the 63rd Anniversary of the School on 01 December, 2012. The Parade will commence from the College premises at 1.00 pm and shall proceed through Thurstan Road, Reed Avenue, Bambalapitiya, Galle Road, Parliament round-about, Collpetty Junction and shall return to the College premises via. Dharmapala Mawatha. It is expected that the Motorcade will comprise of at least 1000 vehicles.
At the end of the parade, the school grounds shall witness a carnival of sorts with a number of eateries, games and band show including a DJ for the delight of all those present and children will be given a special enclosure for their enjoyment.
The OBU, and the School's Development Committee has taken the initiative to organize this mammoth Motor Parade and it is expected that Members of the Staff, Parents, Well-wishers and Students shall actively engage themselves and support this MEGA-EVENT. The Principal of the College and the Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Y.A.N.D. Yapa has appealed to all concerned to make this event a success.
This venture is in aid of the Hostel and Canteen Project.
