Most of us use the word 'heat' to mean something that feels warm, but science defines heat as the flow of energy from a warm object to a cooler object.

Heat is best explained in a Thermodynamics context. Heat and Temperature are closely related. But Heat is thermal energy, whereas Temperature is molecular kinetic energy.
An object or a system can gain or lose heat but it's never a property of that object. That's why it's termed as a "Process Variable". Heat is measured in Joules.
Temperature is rather the average kinetic energy of molecules within a material or system and is measured in C, F, Kelvin etc.
It is a measurable physical property of an object— Hence it is termed a "State Variable."

so if it's a form of a kinetic energy then doesn't it has potential to transfer heat in a vaccume through the air? coz in a vacuum there is no gas present.🧐
