    service letters are just another scam.. even reference is not valid anymore for certain industries. if you know your job. there is no legal requirement to give service letters. if you got payslips to prove that you worked at a certain place for some time then that it is more important.

    Almost all the white-collar jobs require service letters to prove your experience. A service letter is the only way to prove your responsibilities.

    If you have a plan to migrate and don't have service letters, you will be in a very difficult position to prove your responsibilities. EPF/salary records prove that you have been working, but they do not prove your industry responsibilities, etc.

    Try to get a ACS Skill assesment without service letters, you will be rejected during the screening process, they don't even start the process without service letters.

Moreover like these person have demand in IT sector. Try to improve your skills and knowledge and then you can make good value in job market.

    Yea migration part is correct. But generally its not really important. i would consider connections and other influence more valuable
