මේ thread එකෙන් මම පෙන්නන්නේ Trichuris trichiura නැත්නම් human whipworm කියන parasite පණුවෙක් ගැන. මේ පණුවා මිනිස්සුන්ට infect වෙන්නේ දැනටමත් infect උන කාගෙහරි feces වලින්. මේ පණුවාගේ ගැහැණු සතාට දවසකට බිත්තර 2000 - 10000 අතර ප්රමාණයක් දාන්න පුළුවන්. මේ ලෙඩේ හැදෙන්න මුලිකම හේතුව වෙන්නේ infected human feces තියෙන පස් හෝ ඕනෙම දෙයක් ඇල්ලීමෙන් සහ අපිරිසිදුකම නිසා. මේ පණුවන්ගෙන් Trichuris dysentery syndrome කියන තරමක් දුරට භයානක රෝගය බෝවෙනවා. මේ තියෙන්නේ එම රෝගයේ මුලික ලක්ෂණ ටිකක්.
