Its better this way. He was experiencing pressure from all the sides.

Facebook and elakiri cricket “experts” can find a new toy to play with now. I’m not sure those “experts” have ever touched a leather ball.

Anyway mendis is more confident at the moment because he is at his prime as a batsman. But I wonder how he’ll perform when the real pressure hits. Lets see what happens in the next match and hope for the best.

    එකමත් එක රටක
He was one of the best-performing Sri Lankan batsmen on Indian soil.

You know it is possible to lose consistency with the huge burden of captaincy; even though he has become captain, he still had played very few matches considering previous captains, and lastly, he did take on the responsibility of an almost shattered team with disciplinary problems, buried in religious turmoil, and many more problems. So, I appreciate what he did for us. I will always remember his Palle Kele thriller against Australia; our higher unrealistic expectations ruined that batsman. So, it requires some recognition and appreciation. We all can become armchair analysts, but it is far different to face the pressure in reality, over which he has very minimal control.
