Once one of my friends told me like this. Dont know whether its true.
Assume there are two networks. Mobitel & Dialog.
When Mobitel user calls a dialog user, then mobitel has to pay dialog some amount and vice versa. At the end of a period the networks settle the residual.

for Example we will say Mobitel users call Dialog users for 100 hours. Dialog users call 80 hours. Then the residual that is for 20 hours Mobitel has to pay to Dialog.

I hope you understand what I meant.
