You kind off skipped some of my questions. I didn't want to comment on this thread any more. But you skipped some questions from my earlier posts as well.
So tell me do you think our soldiers didn't have any hate toward ltte cadres when they fought?
Or what about puran appu. I'm sure he loved the British soldiers
lol
Spies were executed and still can be executed if caught. You can't expect them to let the spies go can you. Please learn more about revolutions. Specially the french revolution. The american revolution also.
It was a war. Honestly I can't imagine what your idea of war is. They weren't using bb guns you know
If you're against che as a sinhala buddhist, like you said yourself. you should be ashamed of the heroes we have idolized for generations also. After all they were sinhala buddhists or atleast pretended to be buddhists. Please find some articles written in 1960's about cuba by americans. You'll see how they stereotyped the cubans. And you ask me to believe books and sources written by american cubans keyword here being american. lol
Che represents communism.
ANd communism here represents the JVP
That's your real problem. That's why you were so quick to jump into this thread.
bringing Buddhism into everything is just pathetic imho. Buddhism was meant to bring spiritual salvation. Not to be used like this. Like I said before I see no difference between the thaleban and the so called sinhala buddhists. Both groups are extremists.
You come here and say you despise Che because of buddhism, yet you forget our own history.
You're talking about che like he was a sociopath or something and make it look like he was another hitler or something. If you want to know what che meant by the above quotes please read some biographies and auto biographies. Then you'll understand the circumstances and the reasons. He hated capitalism and capitalists. He never denied that. And you'll see that hate manifested many times in his diaries.
There are no black and white characters in the world dude. As a buddhist I'm pretty sure you're supposed to know that.
I don't care if other people care or not. And please explain the the term "those people". I'm pretty interested to know what kind of people you are referring to.Although I'm not going to post in this thread again.
Please compare the pre revolution cuba and cuba's growth over the years after the revolution. Can you honestly say the cubans would have been better off?
My problems is you're trying to dehumanize him without even considering the service he did for the cuban people.
And I'm not a che fanatic. I don't own any che caps or t-shirts.
arios amigos. And I dare you to post a thread about any member of the government pointing out their not so sinhala buddhist actions. That probably ain't going to happen.![]()
Did Puran Appu or Gongalegoda Banda ever say “Dude let’s go and kill all the British Children and Women and Pregnant mothers and anything that’s labeled as ‘British’ so that they leave OUR country alone?”
They did not.
And you compare these heroes with Che who said killing millions of innocent lives is OK as long as they are labeled ‘American’. This does not even include the thousands of future lives destroyed due to radiation poisoning.
These even include Cuban lives. How can Cuba not be affected by nuclear blast in USA? Che went to Russia begging them to start a nuclear war…
But you’re a person who is ok with this… And yet, you’re worried about our leaders…

As I posted earlier, I don’t have any problem against those who stand up for Che AND what he believed in. I’m against people who worship Che WHILE openly saying that they are against everything he believed in (ex- When people who say they’re against Atomic bombs/nuclear wars claim that Che is a hero).
I have no argument with people like you who openly say that Che is justified in what he believed.
We’ll never see eye to eye.

I'm sure we all would like to know.
The prime minister of india. But apparently you care more about the anti sinhala buddhist statements of a long dead foreign political figure than the anti "sinhala buddhist" actions of our current leaders
