I am a close friend of Apsara, and I take full responsibility when I say that this news has so much false information.

As someone who knew this story personally, everyone who knew this couple closely knows that the girl was the victim here and not the guy. She went to NZ for her Master's and the guy couldn't go with her because his visa was rejected and then NZ closed its borders after a month or two. My friend even went to the NZ Prime Minister to discuss the issue of her husband's visa. She was loyal to him, and he was the one who cheated on her with another woman and then tried to harass her mother; these incidents happened multiple times. Her mother and sister had been living for more than a year out of sheer fear of this psychopath who was threatening to stab them and kill them. He was trying to use my friend and now trying to play the victim card.

She was a wonderful and sincere friend to all of us who knew her. She was high-spirited, beautiful in and out, courageous, and strong who patiently bore every hardship in life. She was a bright young academic who was reading for her Ph.D. having won a scholarship and an award. Other than to see her family, she came to Sri Lanka to join the Gotagogama, to stand with her people at this tough time.

She was not a cheap person as indicated by this article or these comments!

Please don't trust this kind of news and don't judge people so quickly when you don't know them personally. It's an utter disrespect when it's done to the dead. Please be kinder, I beg you all.
