Co-founded what is today Nielsen Lanka in 1994 as one of two partners of Survey & Market Research Team (SMART) with just a couple of researchers. Entered in to joint venture with ORG-Marg of India in 1997 and renamed as ORG-Marg SMART (OMS) Research. Having built the company to the largest market research agency in the country as its Jt MD sold stake to Nielsen in mid 2000 with some 140 employees.
