Shrine room vandalised in Mankulam
A Buddhist shrine room erected within the premises of Special Task Force camp in Kanagarayankulam, Mankulam in the North had been vandalised on Monday 29, the Police said. The camp, established after the war victory in 2009, does not exist in that location at present. The shrine room has been constructed at the time for religious observances of the STF personnel. The Buddha statue has also been broken to pieces, the Police said. The Police have started investigations into the incident.
