To tell the truth , I only read books and articles not gossip, and have a basic knowledge on the subject. I do not work in this area at all , furthest from this!
To tell you more the only Nuke source that we had in Sri Lanka was also send abroad for security reasons (I cannot tell more on that publicly). So what are we talking ? To tell you there were Master's level degree in Nuclear Science in Sri Lanka and there may be well educated lot. (I am certainly not one of those)
We use nuclear technology for medical (eg gamma ray scintillator, screening of blood samples for AIDS,) Disinfection eg Bone marrow but we are far behind the level of having a nuke reactor in near future.
With due respect to our bright Engineers we could not even run a Coal power plant ! So what about nuke plant!
. (to draw an analogy this is like we are thinking of building a EV when we cant even build a conventional motor cycle !(not assembling parts of other companies like Mircro and Upali )
