it's lost something with all the unicoders bumping into my poor posts headlong with a frown 
I've seen all the above mentioned 'posh' films and some of the old sinhala films.
Of the sinhala films, Nidhanaya can be rated above even Godfather as per my taste in films..
but there are foreign films which have gone way beyond what sinhala cinema has done.
You can say what you like about me, but this is the truth.
Please learn to appreciate art without geographical or racial boundaries to keep yourself from being identified as an asshole

Then also i never underestimated other movies which i mentioned above,,My opinion was and it is if you are in a category that I noted as posh, as a Sri lankan it is ok if you have seen these golden movies as a sri lankan and then moved on to other movies.But if you never seen these movies and labeled as garbage it doesnt make you posh,polish or international or whatever.But as i know it does definitely making you as 3rd class posh

Besides all your example films are actually entry level films to vast ocean of art the cinema is..there are many better ones..
and I don't agree that you must see these sinhala films first in order to see other great films from other countries.
I don't really understand the origin of this separation of nations before cinema..
really I had seen many great foreign films before I tracked down and watched Nidhanaya..it took me many great other films to realize there may be films in same caliber in sinhala cinema as well (so I'm forever grateful to foreign films )
and nobody is calling these films 'crap'..many of sinhala films are though..
You may just be missing out on many great films dude..no hard feelings
U can rank any movie any title according to your taste,,bt taste is different from person to person.So u hv seen these movies,bt taste is yours,u cn say anything,,at least u hv seen it,,its good [/B][/SIZE]
