ඉදිරිපස රෝදය අක්‍රියවීමෙන් පසු බංකුවක් මතට යානය ගොඩබස්වන අමෙරිකානු ගුවන් නියමුවා

යානය : AV 8B හැරියර් II වර්ගයේ කෙලින් අතට ගොඩබැස්සවිය හැකි ප්‍රහාරක යානයකි
නියමුවා : කපිතාන් විලියම් මැහෝනි, අමෙරිකානු මැරීන් හමුදාව
ස්ථානය : USS Bataan ගුවන්යානා ගෙනයන නෞකාව

අමෙරිකානු එක්සත් ජනපද මැරීන් හමුදාවේ 6වැනි නාවික බළඇණියේ (United States Marine Core, 6th Fleet) ප්‍රහාරක ජෙට් නියමුවෙකු වූ කපිතාන් විලියම් මැහෝනිට පසුගියදා විශාල අකරතැබ්බයකට මුහුණ දෙන්නට වුනා. USS බටාන් ගුවන්යානා ගෙනයන ඇම්ෆීබියස් වර්ගයේ ඇසෝල්ට් ෂිප් නෞකාවකින් සිය හැරියර් ජෙට් ප්‍රහාරක යානයෙන් ගුවන්ගතවූ ඔහුට මිනිත්තු කිහිපයකදී යානයේ විශාල වරදක් ඇතිබව අවබෝධ වුනා. යානයෙන් නිකුත්වුනු අණතුරු ඇඟවීමේ සංඥාවලට අනුව එහි ඉදිරිපස රෝද පද්ධතිය යානය තුල සිරවී ඇති බවත්, එය යානය ගොඩ බැස්සවීම සඳහා පහත්කල නොහැකි තත්වයක ඇති බවත් දැනගත්තා. වහාම ක්‍රියාත්මකවූ කපිතාන් මැහෝනි, යානය නැවතත් නෞකාව වෙත ගෙනවිත් තම ආපදාව දැනුම්දුන්නා.


නෞකාවේ සිටි තාක්ශණික නිළධාරීන් යානාව විනාශ නොවන ලෙස ආරක්ශාකාරීව ගොඩ බස්වාගැනීමට උපක්‍රමයක් යෙදුවා. එනම් මෙවැනි ජෙට් යානාවල ඉදිපස රෝදයේ අලුත්වැඩියා කිරීම් සිදුකරනවිට යානයේ ඉදිරිපස රැඳවීම සඳහා ආධාරකයක් ලෙස භාවිතා කරන බංකුවක් මතට යානයේ ඉදිරිපස රැඳවෙන ආකාරයට ගොඩබැස්වීමයි.


මුහුද මැදදී, වේගවත් සුලං පහරල් නිසා යානය පැද්දීම් හා රළ පහර නිසා නෞකාව පැද්දීම වැනි අණතුරුදායක තත්වයන් තිබුණත්, දක්ශ නියමුවෙකු වූ මැහෝනි යානය ආරක්ශාකාරී ලෙස යානයේ ඉදිරිපස බංකුව මතට වන ලෙස යානය ගොඩබස්වා ගැනීමට සමත්වුනා.

he is a great pilot no doubt at all . the British-american sea harrier one of the two aircraft/( other one is lockheed f35) which can vertically land and take off. but both of aircraft use totally different mechanism to do landing and taking off process. actually seaharrier is the worlds 1st aircraft which could do vertical landing and taking off in operation level. on that time they used exhaust air for do this tusks , they built couple of air ducks /vertical thrust nozzles in the fuselage of the aircraft and used exhaust air to keep the aircraft off the ground by using down thrust,gently lift off from ground and land smoothly in to ground. but the problem is what would happen the exhaust air re-enter to engine through the turbine. the result is the aircraft starts to stall. pilot cant control the aircraft when its stalling , and the aircraft definitely gonna hit the ground and crash! you can see in this video suddenly the aircraft knocked on the bench and bounced! that's why i say he is great pilot! he landed safely right on to the bench even when the aircraft was stalling. and also he knew that it would stall when couple of feet above the deck! he is a brave guy!
