The Prophet made similar Duas (supplications) for his people on a regular basis: "O God! Guide my people, for they know not," he would pray, as he and his followers were tortured, humiliated, scorned and mocked.

On another occasion, some Companions came to the Prophet and said: "O Messenger of God! The tribe of Daus have committed disbelief and disobeyed (your commands). Supplicate God against them!" Contrary to the people?s expectations, the Prophet said: "O Allah! Guide Daus and let them come to us." (Bukhari).

I don't know bung..Even I have a number of muslim friends but the islamic community has to get their act together and deal with these types of people.
IMO this needs to be handled by the govt before it gets too late.

Thats true also the preachers in mosques need to talk about these issues.
they should include these topics in their friday lectures according to the religion teachings and to obey the law first.
have to find ways to talk to people how to react in these kind of situations.

for example this whole panadura issue is not acceptable
how all these people can come out of the mosque to leave the friday prayer and defend these two persons.
unnecessary issues.
thank god no one harmed a police officer.
they are just asking for trouble.

This country has become dangerous to live even for the people who have no business with them and who follow their faith. for small incident every one has to expect their houses,mosques destroyed. (kandy incident)
not every buddhist person is going to understand this. majority is going to see this as a threat.
