If one talks of Sri Lankans who are doing well in different fields worldwide after getting free education, there could be many. Even NASA has Sri Lankans. What matters is the level of impact they have made to the world. I don't know if Lankans such as JR Jayewardene (speech at San Fransisco Peace Treaty after ww2 that relieved Japan), and Lakshman Kadir (making Vesak a UN holiday) qualifies for that cos they didn't receive free education.
