කිසියම් චීවරධාරියෙක් අපරාධයක් කළ විට සාමාන්‍ය ක්‍රමවේදය වන්නේ චීවරය ඉවත් කර සුදු වස්ත අන්දවා මාංචු දැමීමයි. එහෙම කරන්නේ අපරාධකාරයෙක් යනු තවදුරටත් භික්ෂුවක් නොවන නිසා.

If he has done a wrong there should not be a distinction with or without robe he should be dealt normal way. I have seen Buddhist monks in remand prison robed more than 20 years ago! Even Ven Kananke Dammmadinna who was prominent priest in 80's who had a well known Shin yo en pre school at Dehiwala not only was in the accused cell in High Court in robe but later conducted his case (when defence counsel withdrew) robed. So it is not a bad thing to arrest with robe, it is bad to do things when a person is robed. So if a wrong had been committed there should not be a distinction as to robed or not. Everybody should be equal before law(at least in theory in Sl)
