    100% agreed.

I sold my Core i7 desktop and brought laptop mainly for Mathlab/.Net & Gaming/Video

Working 24/7. I spent quite a lot but I using it for my work and gaming.

That may be true machan. Also there are several methods to improve Onboard Vga Game Compatibility. But my point is, if you're planning to play games, why waste so much money on speed when your machine is already handicapped with Intel vga? Isn't it better to buy a slightly slower machine with better vga?
most i7 laptops has dual VGA. The intel for low power, low GPU requirements and NVIDIA or ATI for high GPU requirements. Chances are that for that 175k/- you get a dual VGA laptop.

I agree that a laptop even a desktop needs to be bought to meet the requirements of the user instead of just going for processor speeds.

However, there is one added advantage in using a laptop over a desktop - power consumption is a lot lower in the laptop.

Also when it comes to buying laptops, buying a know brand from an agent at a higher price is worth while than buying a no name laptop from a reseller (non agent). After sales service and support is important in laptops.

obviously! campus doesnt need a super computer so thats for show, and you're obviously not going to do any work on that on a regular basis so thats also for show. :P

Dude, I was just kidding. Our uni does a lot of atmospheric research and we get processing time from nasa supercomputers. The new supercomputer is nothing compared those and is mainly for training people to program on massively multiprocessor systems. But it's really nice to take a picture standing next to it and post it on facebook (I mean you hardly ever get permission to go near the actual computer and usually log into it remotely using your regular computer) :D
