උඩ කියලා තියනවා වගේ වැඩි පීඩණයක් යටතේදී වාෂ්ප --> ද්‍රව වෙනවා. ද්‍රව --> ඝණ වෙනවා.
පොලව යටට යන්න යන්න උෂ්ණත්වය් වගේම පීඩනය වැඩි වෙනවා. පොළව මධ්‍යයේ සෙල්සියස් 6000ක් විතර වෙලත් ඝණ අවස්ථාවේ පදාර්ථ තියෙන්නෙ ඒකයි.

Even though I saw this thread, never read it. Because the subject line was "භූතාපජ" and honestly I thought it refers to some kind of a stupid Ghost.

Coming back to the point, even though we have several geothermal sites, I am not so sure that we can really harness these to generate power. The source temperature deep down could be much higher than on surface, but you should do a proper geotechnical study to assess the economic feasibility.
I was touring Iceland recently (The Land of Fire & Ice), they have several major geothermal power stations. I visited one simply because there was a signboard indicating Visitor Centre for a Geothermal Power station. I forget the name but it was very close to MyVatn where there's another Blue Lagoon similar place.
They had an explanatory video on how the geothermal energy is tapped and the electricity generation is done. They drill deep into the earth.
(They don't let you inside the plant. Two staff members are there to reply to your questions and you could have a free coffee.)

Also most of their hot water systems are from geothermal sources. Households are supplied with hot water from these and the downside is that it smells a bit.

කියවන්නෙ නැතුවද යකෝ හොඳ ලිපියක් කීවෙ?

Thanks for sharing experience. I have heard that most of the areas that had recently active volcanoes have some garlic burning smell. That should be some smell coming from down layers of the earth crust. May be something identical to what you experienced in Iceland.
