An unique and a delightful Birthday to Ushani!!!
Ushani Deerasinghe,who became popular after acting in the teledrama "Kande Gedara" as the daughter,is celebrating her birthday today.
She is the first cousin of the great Gamini Fonseka Family,the daughter of Mrs Sumithra Fonseka's younger sister Helen.
In fact she played the main role,opposite Harshana Nanayakkara,in the film "Dinuma Kageda",and she acted in films "Maruthaya" & "Aragalaya".
I came to know her as she posed for one of my calendars for the year 1995.Actually it is a four page calendar and we did the shoot in 1994 November.She was looking absolutely stunning.
She got married to famous businessman Nilanka Rajapakshe,and now settled overseas.She has children too and I did one of their family pictures at the wedding of my good friend Dammith.
I met her last on the second of January 2019 at Shangri la,at the wedding of Gamini Fonseka's eldest daughter Chami's son.Being so kind she accompanied me to the lobby and I took some photographs with the Christmas tree on my phone.In fact I took a selfie with her which I am posting here.I am posting the four pages of the Calendar reawakening our cherished memories.
Wishing her health,wealth & happiness with the blessings of the noble triple gem and may all your good dreams come true.Next birthday would be a very special one for you and hope I would be able to do a portrait of yours.Have a fantastic birthday Ushani!!!
