I do not think this ship can operate any space craft or satellite but it can take some measurements and corrections . India also has got such Ships and also stations made in other countries . This type of ships frequently call ports in Pacific as it is a big mass of water in that part of world. Russia and US also have this facilities in ships and also through ground stations. These measurements are essential for space progammes and China who is a leading Space explorer in the World should be supported by rest of the world. Space should not belong to US and USSR. India knows their objection has no ground but does it to discourage future trips of this nature. There is no known security threat from this ship docking at H'tota. In any event there is international sea line just few Kms from this port and this ship can get whatever measurements there without comming to port. Since there is a port it is natural to call this. this is the position even for planes. India is part of Quad and this is to curtail Chinese dominance in Indo Pacific area. SL was correct in asking for valid objections from India before allowing this ship.
This is like our local fear created to Indian Ambulance by Wimal , Padeniya, Gam'pila idiot group. So this can happen even at international level
