Singapore Dollar Weakens Further on Renewed U.S. Dollar Confidence

SINGAPORE--The Singapore dollar fell further against the U.S. dollar Wednesday before recovering slightly toward the end of the day, at one point hitting its lowest level in five weeks as confidence built in the U.S. dollar's strengthening trend.

In the past few weeks the U.S. currency has regained ground, returning to its longer-term strengthening trend.
