You mean valid arguments to support you can "hack" on windows?

If you are targeting a computer on a windows network, or if you are trying to exploit a windows related software vulnerability, on which platform would you test and debug it? On Kali Linux?

Someone experienced on this domain would say "use the ecosystem that would suit the best for the target at hand". Not something like "Kali linux is what cool hakerz use". It's exactly like software development. You'd choose the programming language and tech stack based on your requirement - not the other way round.

I meant i replied to this thread when i saw the comment about reporting. Cant remember who it was. Too old to keep track of everyone and reply individually.

You don’t call yourself a master hacker, say that you can easily crack fb accounts and go on to show how to steal a windows password with a tool after 1.30 hours. Stealing or resetting windows password on a PC with unlocked bios is something we did in 2005 with no internet tutorials. Just stop wasting time saying random stuff because you quoted the wrong comment in the first place. I’m not even sure if Im replying to the same person who has being a cyber security expert on windows for the last 30 years.

Congratulations about your achievement in 2005. But there may be folks in the world who were not able to level up to your standard - that doesnt make them idiots so dont mock them.

Erm i didn't reply to the wrong comment thread. I meant I first replied here after seeing the comment about channel reporting. And then replied to your comment about Windows. Since its a thread, I think i can summarize my views of the thread into a single comment.

You havent countered any of my points raised in my previous reply but just asked me to 'stop replying' so I'm going to stop replying to this thread.

Yeah cyber security professionals might not use Kali as it is a penetration tester. But the generic set of tools are the same for most kind of hacking. You can use the same Kali toolkits in any debian based os or you could try something like blackarch which I don’t know anything about. But what is their preferred OS to carry out security testing? Because I’m not convinced that any cyber security professional would use windows as their daily driver.

Yeah what i'm saying is it's more likely for a professional to install his own toolset rather than using something like kali. Usually they have their preferred customisations etc and kali is kind of cliche in the industry as it's associated with script kiddies and wannabe hackers.

Believe me, i knew a guy (a person i respect very much and a very knowledgeable guy in cyber security) who had a primary windows computer. All his tools are packaged in easily deployable containers so nothing runs in his local computer. So all he basically need is a shell.

Yes he does deploy everything remotely and that's what i meant by deployable containers. build the environment, do what needs to be done and destroy. No risk.

Windows being more or less vulnerable compared to *nix is an old myth really. both have their own problems. I'm saying this as a MacOS user. I vividly remember when apple broke MacOS root access so that username root and empty password let anyone to login as root (yeah it was that fucked up). only thing is *nix is much better when it comes to package managers and stuff so it's more "tinkerer" friendly.

What meaningful points did you raise that should be addressed? You just said something about ‘cool hackerz’ which something you made up and went on to explaining your ability to identify osthars and script kiddies or something like that. How should i address them? If you watched the first 5 mins of the video and you are a legit account you will see the scam. He literally says he needs 1 min to hack any FB account. I will give you something way easier. Will give you a sha256 hash with less than 15 character in it with no dictionary word. Lets see if you can crack it under 5mins first Then we can try facebook hacking.

I told you OS is not an issue for attacks which means you can use any OS to attack anyone on the planet. Your initial post mocked those who use Windows for attacking victims. It's true that you need good understanding of victim OS too which I never denied.

No body knows what the fuck going inside computers other than bare understanding of abstractions.

Computer hardware is proprietary.

Most attacks nowadays use social engineering and the tools are off-shelf.

But if you need to create your own tools, you will need good understanding of memory and assembly also C and C++.


Do you need understanding OS internals to hack web? I don't think so
