Colombo. Because of all the urban facilities, educational oppotunities etc.. I like Colombo suburbs like Nugegoda, Thalawathugoda, Boralesgamuwa.

of course.. best Maharagama, boralesgamuwa, piliyandala.. center of colombo district

1) ඕනාවට වඩා නාගරීකරණය වෙලා නෑ
2) අවශ්‍ය සියලු සේවා තිබීම ( Nawaloka & many medical institutes / Arpico supercenter , keels super , cargils / kfc,pizahut,dominos etc.. / CIB , Fashion BUg,Nolimit, et.. and many more
3) එයාපෝට් එකට මිනිත්තු 10 යි

4) Katunaayaka Free Trade Zone eka nisa many job opertunities
5) You will get Fresh Fish/Prowns/Cuttlefish etc for cheap


Most Importantly Negombo Colombo Express bus service (20 mins to colombo)

Even on Southern Exp. Way, it is 45 mins from Galle to Kottawa and another 1 1/2 hours from Kottawa to Colombo baring a public holiday.

from paliyagoda to pettah duration depends on the time
but maximum trafic hours it wont take 60 mins for sure

worse case is 40 mins , best case is 15 mins

Mainly because I live there..there may be many other nicer cities but I feel most of the Colombo suburbs are over crowded and their city centers look crammed with lots of low rise structures. Ex pliliyandala, boralesgamuwa,bellawilla, nugegoda etc..

Panadura city center has only a few of those shantly looking low rise structures..and for the most part building are evenly distributed so looks nicer and much easier to drive from one place to another.
